At Fountain Square Academy, we offer the A+ Anywhere Learning System, which is a computer-based system that delivers lessons in individual doses upon which the student is then tested. When the student masters the material, she gets an “apple” signifying that mastery. The student then moves on.

The flexibility of this system benefits our students greatly.

Because the system is competency-based, our students can proceed at a much faster rate than children their age at schools using a much more restrictive curriculum delivery system. This system allows for progress at 21 different rates for any 21 students in a classroom. Truly, students are treated as individuals.

At the same time, we a new student joins us, we have the flexibility to assess where the students is, academically, and if remediation or a little backtracking is necessary – no problem. We can direct that student to areas that still need mastery, even if below traditional grade level, bring them up to speed, then they, too, can soar ahead.

With their own access codes, our students can log in to the A+ Anywhere Learning System at home or anywhere there’s internet access. Nothing can slow our students down!
