New Leadership for the New Year
Respected Educators Keena Foster and Vic Bardonner Will Lead
Fountain Square Academy into the Future

The new year brings exciting new leadership to Fountain Square Academy. We are pleased to welcome the experience and expertise of seasoned educators Keena Foster and Vic Bardonner.

Keena Foster serves as Fountain Square’s new Principal, with a focus on improving the academic well-being of our students. Foster’s 10 years in the classroom have taught her not only how to improve student learning but also what teachers need in order to do so. She has participated as a member of Westlane Middle School’s leadership team and is a licensed administrator. English scores soared under her watch at Westlane Middle School. Her training in cultural competency and improving school climate will benefit students, staff, faculty, and beyond.

Vic Bardonner, a noted and well-respected educator from Lawrence Central High School, serves as the school’s Director of External Affairs and Student Services. While at Lawrence Central, Bardonner led the Center for Character Development. At FSA, Bardonner will focus on character development and behavior, as well as community engagement. He has spent 35 years in education, with the past 20-plus years helping students develop their personal potential and leadership skills. As a licensed social worker and school counselor, Bardonner understands how to motivate students with innovative events, programs and daily interaction. He also will use his experience as a national motivational speaker to recruit students and enhance community relations in order to expand what we can offer to our students.

The selection process was rigorous and extensive and included school board members, students, parents, PTO members, and GEO Foundation staff. We’re confident in our new leaders’ qualifications and dedication to improving the lives of our students. Together, they will work diligently to make this school a center of the community and a place of learning that people point to and speak of with pride.
