Principal Sr. Pam Doyle and Director of Middle Colleges Fumihiko Yuki Attend School Leader Retreat

Principal Sr. Pam Doyle and newly-named Director of Middle Colleges Fumihiko Yuki attended a Summer School Leader Retreat at Fall Creek Academy in Indianapolis on Monday, June 16. The purpose of the retreat, sponsored by the Greater Educational Opportunities Foundation (GEO), is to cover topics of interest to school leaders such as new software and educational opportunities for our students, new ways of communicating with our parents, grappling with budget issues, dealing with difficult retention and promotion issues, and many others.

Each one of the 12 scheduled sessions included a great deal of interaction between presenter and attendees, allowing Doyle and Yuki to ask questions that specifically relate to Fountain Square Academy and our children. Because the GEO Foundation sponsors and supports Fountain Square Academy, these conversations, debate, and instruction will continue through summer and into the school year.

Attendees included school leaders and Middle College directors from Gary, Indianapolis, and Colorado Springs.
