Who inspired you to select teaching as a vocation?
Throughout my life I have been inspired by many people and events to become a teacher. My family is full of teachers. I have been blessed in my lifetime to have teachers that not only taught me, but that sculpted me to be the man that I am today. Through those teachers I learned the value of empowering young people. I chose Physical Education because if fused the two of my favorite things. I love physical activity and working with kids. Although so many people played a big part in inspiring me one person stands out, Deacon Anderson White. In my senior year of high school I was a little conflicted in what I wanted to do. It was between architecture and Physical Education, and Anderson asked me one question, “Which would you do for free?” Of course I chose PE, and I have not looked back.
